Digital media use and health

There has been an increasing public and academic interest in the relationship between digital media and wellbeing. While some have concluded that digitial media use has “destroyed a generation”, its impact on health and wellbeing is complex, as there are many cases of digital media improving wellbeing for individuals. Moreover, the analysis of smartphone log data and social media activity represents an exiting oppoportunity to collect rich moment-to-moment data outside of the lab.
